PLAYball tops the list in the “Feature Screenplay-Family” category at the 4^th annual All Sports Los Angeles Film Festival.

PLAYball, a screenplay I wrote with Melissa Murillo, took First Place in the 4^th annual All Sports Los Angeles Film Festival. The festival, held this past weekend at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood, features films, documentaries and screenplays that demonstrate a love for sports and competition.

I could best describe this festival by saying, it's like getting together with your sports-loving friends and watching ESPN.  Last year my screenplay, The Little White Kart, took 4^th place here in the “Original Feature” category.

PLAYball is the story of a 12-year-old boy who becomes the General Manager of the Chicago Cubs. He brings technology to the game and, with the help of his best friend, writes an iPad App that may very well give the Cubbies their first World Series win in 104 years!

PLAYball, a screenplay about a 12 year old boy who becomes the General Manager of the Chicago Cubs, is an Official Selection and an Elite Eight Finalist at the All Sports Los Angeles Film Festival! 

The story, which I co-wrote with Melissa Murillo centers on a boy baseball whiz who is named GM of the Cubs, and who with his best friend Tatum, develop an iPad App that may very well give the Cubbies their first World Series Title in over 100 years!  If you would like to read the first 10 pages you will find them here.

This is my second year with an entry at the All Sports Los Angeles Film Festival, last year my screenplay The Little White Kart took 4th place in the Original Screenplay category.

The festival is held in North Hollywood and runs from November 9-11.

BREAKING NEWS (07.11.12)

The Little White Kart , my now much honored feature length screenplay, is an official selection of the Action On Film International Film Festival!  This is even more special because, as you can see below, I Scream, You Scream, a short film I produced (directed by Mike Switzer) is also an Official Selection at this festival.  The festival is the week of August 17-25, 2012 in Monrovia, (Los Angeles) CA.  Here's a link to the official festival website: Action On Film International Film Festival.
